Sangam Radio was an Asian community station, with Asian music and Asian languages Initially Sangam Radio used to broadcast at weekends, but soon extended to 24/7 operation.

"Sangam" in Hindi means "understanding", reflecting Sangam Radio's aim of serving all sections of the Asian community
