Power House Radio broadcast to the Black Country area from 1988 to 1990. A limited comeback was made on 106.8Mhz and at radiopirates.co.uk in Summer '06. (Chris Knight & Richie Gold, DJ Olly, TRG, Johnny B)

First heard in the evening of 15th February 1988, with test transmissions. Following day heard with full programmes. At first, broadcasts took place in the evenings only, but Power House Radio soon grew to have 24 hour 7 day broadcasts.

Frequency used was between 105 and 106 FM

Power House Radio survived for many months before their first raid. However, thereafter, raids came frequently and severely. A number of prosecutions also took place, with at least one Power House Radio DJ being jailed for offences under the Wireless Telegraphy Act.

In late 1990, following several DTI raids and prosecutions, Power House Radio was forced to close down.

A strong signal from Power House Radio reached as far as Handsworth, Erdington and Stetchford. On 24th to 25th December 1988, high pressure conditions even made Power House Radio audible in Clowne
